Khan Academy is a not-for-profit with the goal of changing education for the better by providing a free world-class education for anyone anywhere. The Foundation for Learning Equality is partnering with Khan Academy to play a key role in achieving this mission, by bridging the gap to offline and low-bandwidth communities using KA Lite.

Idaho Department of Corrections (IDOC) is part of the Khan in Idaho program, the FLE has partnered with the NNU Center of Innovation in Teaching and the CCA to bring KA Lite to inmates across 7 facilities of the Idaho Department of Corrections. This year-long study will examine the efficacy of Khan Academy content, and we hope it might serve as a launching pad to bring KA Lite to prisons across the nation.

The The Akanksha Foundation is a non-profit organization with the vision to one day equip all students with the education, skills and character they need to lead empowered lives. We are piloting KA Lite in several Akanksha classrooms, with funding for the hardware provided by an Indian family foundation.
