How we collaborate

Collaborations are key to our work. We see every collaboration as an opportunity for learning and improving, both our offerings and our organization. Our work is collaborative in its very nature, as it is shaped by the communities we serve and the organizations we engage with in support of those communities.

We take a bottom-up approach to creating edtech, one that is not directive and that allows communities to have agency around the use of our tools.

We develop an ecosystem of open and offline-first software and tools that are supported by openly licensed guidance and training materials we develop in-house, for a ‘do-it-yourself’ model that eliminates barriers of access, facilitates open adoption and scaling, and builds local capacity to decrease dependency on our support wherever possible.

But that doesn’t mean we don't have a role to play!

While openness allows us to broaden our reach, it is through community-centric partnerships that we achieve impact, iterate, and ensure that our products and tools meet the needs of those we serve. We engage in formal partnerships with implementing organizations, governments, and multilateral agencies globally for a more hands-on approach, mutual learnings, and sustainability.
